Summary
- JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Performs the duties of Clinical Pharmacist and directs, creates
and coordinates the clinical program content of the pharmacy
department.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- Pharmacy Administration provides leadership and direction to
the various pharmacy departments and programs at SHS. These include
inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, Medication Management and
pharmacy residency programs as well as 340B operations. We are
staffed with seasoned pharmacists and technicians who help optimize
pharmaceutical care throughout our SHS service area.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required.
- One (1) of the following required:
- Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited residency in
pharmacy practice.
- Six (6) months pharmacist experience.
- Residency training preferred.
- Advanced training preferred.
- All job offers are contingent upon the candidate passing a
pre-employment/post offer drug screen.
- KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Communication - Effective written and oral communication skills
to explain complex issues, exchange information between team
members, and tactfully discuss issues. Ability to perform group
presentations and listen to and understand complex information and
ideas. Possess proficient communication skills (oral and written)
in dealing with hospital employees, customers, and external
organizations.
- Computer Literacy - Knowledge of electronic equipment and
computer hardware, software, and applications. Ability to operate
applications, enter data, and process information.
- Social Perceptiveness - Ability to work with a diverse
population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of
age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with
patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs
and experiences of others and a nonjudgmental attitude towards
persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles and ages.
- Team Building - Ability to work, function and communicate on a
multi-disciplinary team. Possess the knowledge and skills to
