  • Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements). Earliest start date can be is 3/17
  • Shift: Day position - The pattern is Day position (Sunday - Wednesday)
  • Daily Caseload per Dept: 165 Scans per day
  • Years of Experience REQ: Minimum of 1 year Preferred: Previous experience and Required: Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development, and life stages to meet each patient's need and Required: Demonstrated venipuncture competency and Required: PACS/RIS knowledge and Preferred: EPIC RIS, FUJI and IntelliSpace PACS experience. 1 year EPIC experience preferred. Preferred Siemens and GE CT scanner experience

  • Top 10 Procedures/Scans: Routine Body Imaging(Chest/Abdomen/Pelvis, Cardiac, Neuro/Stroke, Trauma series (Head/Neck, Spine, Abdomen/Pelvis)

    • Special Requirements: Prepare, supply, and equip exam room to meet the needs of requested examinations and to meet specific physician requirements for procedures. Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties as required. Integrates previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records to optimize exam. Perform most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary. Provides patient education and instruction prior to and after examination. Provide training/education to staff and students as indicated. Demonstrates ability to adapt exam to address problems of patient care as they arise making decisions to appropriately resolve problems. Operates CT scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images. Applies ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self, patient, and visitor. Evaluates patient for pregnancy prior to exam as indicated. Performs interventional procedures applying knowledge of equipment, supplies, and AORN standards. Performs other patient care activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned consistent with Caregivers' scope of practice, training, experience, and license/certification/registration. Performs other duties as assigned.

        • AHA, MTN, or Canadian AHA required. ACLS is required for ICU, ER, PCU, Cath Lab, PACU, Tele, Respiratory Therapists. For AHA - PeaceHealth accepts AHA Provider, Instructor, and RQI.

        • Stroke CEUs are required for all RNs and may be required for specific Inpatient Therapists (CL can confirm). The number of CEUs required varies by department - please see facility specific doc regarding CEU requirements. No specific CEU provider is required. All CEU must have "Stroke" in the course title. The number of hours & date completed must be listed on the CEU certificate/transcript. All CEUs must be completed within the same calendar year of start and updated annually. NIHSS can count for up to 3 CEUs for that calendar year (hours must be listed on the NIHSS certificate) as of 7/20/21.
